SLAINTÉ KARELIA

Sláinte Karelia is a ceili band from Joensuu, whose music blends the traditional sounds of Finland and Ireland, weaving together a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The band's name "Sláinte" is taken from the Irish greeting, wishing "good health", while "Karelia" pays homage to the beautiful landscapes of Finland's Karelia region, underscoring the band's pursuit of musical richness and versatility.

Slainté Karelia's performances are often characterized by lively tunes and rhythmic variations, where the fiddle, tin whistle, and acoustic guitar come together to create infectious melodies. Their songs frequently narrate tales of life, nature, and heritage, infused with the spirit of Karelian traditions.

This band will be taking center stage as the resident musicians for three nights at the Tomorrow's Zen Zone in the Garden. Sláinte!

JOONAS HAUVELI

When Joonas Hauveli performs alone with his guitar, the atmosphere is intimate and powerful. His skills as a guitarist and musical storyteller shine through as he creates layered and emotive compositions and arrangements.
